Thought I’d post a couple of wallpapers I’ve put together here at work. The first one is made in Lego. Or, at least, virtually built in Lego. On the second one I played around a bit with the typography, 3D-effects and some bright colors. For the third I used some tricks I learned from the great guys at PSDTuts together with my illustration where I played around with one of the 2008 logos.
Been checking out some of Von Glitschka’s great tutorials over at Illustration Class. That got me going, making an illustration based on a more or less random image I saved last night. So, here it is.
I haven’t been posting anything for a while now, but there’s been plenty to do. This is a little taste of the stuff we’ve been doing at 2008scandinavia.
This is a campaign we’ve been working on for a while, for a mac support company called Teknograd. The first one will be featured in the next issue of Kampanje, a magazine for the advertising industry here in Norway. There will also be an interview with my colleagues and bosses, Øistein Borge and Erik Heisholt.
On my spare time I’ve been working on this fanzine in honor of one of my favorite subjects; Signage. I’ve been to Los Angeles, Las Vegas and San Francisco this summer, which are goldmines when it comes to signage. =) This is still work in progress though, but here are some of the spreads that are more or less finished.
So, finally I bring you the photos of the last project I worked on at Studio3 this summer. This was an annual report for a big company dealing with education, real estate and recycling. We hired a great professional photographer but did all the rest ourselves. Really learned a lot from this, in almost every aspect. I wouldn’t mind doing more stuff like this in the future.
We’ve been working on this project for a really long time, but finally its finished, and we’re all pleased with the outcome. This is for a guy who makes chorizos and other spicy sausages, and he needed a complete profile including a website and everything.
Been working on a profile and posters for a sci fi film festival here in Oslo theese last few weeks, and I’m finally finished. Shown here is the poster and the program book.
As I’m out there looking for work, I need to go around showing my portfolio, and so I came up with a complete concept for it too. This came from some of my personal observations and ideas about this experience of constantly being on the move from place to place, showing people what “tricks” you know. Obviously its inspired by circus posters and design of the early 1900s.
